Protective Services Case Worker
Job Description
The Protective Services Case Worker at AgeSpan is tasked with investigating reports, assessing client risk, and providing crisis intervention services to ensure the safety and independence of the elderly. This role requires strong collaboration with facility staff, mental health professionals, and legal resources to develop and maintain service plans that resolve crisis issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Investigate Protective Services reports
- Conduct field visits to assess client needs
- Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and casework services
- Develop and maintain ongoing service plans
- Liaise with mental health, medical, and legal resources
- Utilize the court system when necessary
- Participate in after-hours on-call, as needed
Job Requirements
- Master's or higher in a relevant field plus 1 year of experience or Bachelor's plus 2 years of experience
- LSW eligibility within 2.5 years of hire
- Strong negotiation/problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with computers necessary
- Bilingual capacity preferred but not required
