Director of Aging Programs

The Division for Aging Services at DARS seeks a Director of Aging Programs to lead and manage initiatives that support older Virginians and their caregivers. The role involves supervising program coordinators and fiscal staff, overseeing Older Americans Act initiatives, and providing technical assistance to Virginia's Area Agencies on Aging. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aging services, program management, and staff supervision.

• Supervise Program Coordinators and Fiscal Staff.
• Oversee management of Older Americans Act initiatives, resources, and programs.
• Provide oversight, technical assistance, and monitoring for Virginia's 25 Area Agencies on Aging.
• Coordinate existing grants and facilitate new grant opportunities.

• Extensive experience in staff supervision, leadership, and performance evaluation.
• Experience with long-term care/aging services and managing programs.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies related to aging services.
• Ability to work with aging network services delivery systems and various stakeholders.
