At AgeSpan, the Screening Specialist reviews reports of abuse, determining eligibility for investigation under EOEA guidelines, documents decisions, and guides Protective Service Workers on initial investigation steps. This role also involves answering the Consult line, assisting with QA, and advocating for consumer needs. Responsibilities

  • Screen Protective Services reports of abuse
  • Answer and respond to the PS Screening/Consult line
  • Obtain, scan, and complete document reviews
  • Give initial supervision to PSW and document in APS
  • Interview key collaterals for investigation
  • Provide consultation to Protective Service Supervisors
  • Assist with community education efforts
  • Respond to calls from Protective Workers in the field
  • Document all tasks within APS records
  • Manage and update the Case Assignment Log
  • Observe confidentiality regulations
  • Attend mandatory meetings and trainings
  • Internal QA review of investigations
  • Complete record redaction and data subject letters

Job Requirements

  • Master's or higher in relevant field + 1 year experience OR Bachelor's + 2 years experience
  • LSW eligibility within 2.5 years of hire
  • Strong negotiation/problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with computers necessary
